Video Sample. I wrote and developed this video tutorial for users of the Research Enterprise Data System at NC State University.

Microlearning Sample. I developed this short course using Articulate Rise 360.

Program of Technical E-Learning Courses. I collaborated with SMEs and a large development team to create the award-winning program of e-learning courses, Statistical Thinking for Industrial Problem Solving. This course has prepared thousands of students for JMP certification.

Video Samples and Web Design. I designed and produced the two videos below to introduce and close the Truth Be Told Toolbox, a resource for communities developed by The Center for Black Health & Equity. I also designed the toolbox web page.

Welcome to the Truth Be Told Toolbox
This video introduces powerful ways to organize, understand policy, and advocate for changes that improve health.

Using the Truth Be Told Toolbox in Your Community

The final video in the Toolbox provides guidance on how to use the Truth Be Told Toolbox resources.

Writing and Instructional Design Samples. Below is a set of instructions, followed by three samples of my writing and instructional design.

Video and Instructor-Led Training Design. I designed, wrote, and produced the Blueprinting the Structure video for our Digital Course Developer training.

My team and I delivered this course both online and in the classroom. We taught instructors and other SAS Education staff how to design and develop an e-learning course.

Blueprinting is how you create a detailed course outline that includes everything that the learner needs. It makes the development and production process much more efficient.

Tutorial Video Sample. Getting Started with SAS Studio is a tutorial video that I designed, wrote, and produced.

David Lindenberg provided the voiceover narration and updated some of the video for a later software version.

I authored and produced four of the top ten SAS Studio Tutorials (121,340 unique views as of 4 July 2015).

In 2022, our tutorials had > 274,000 views.

E-learning Excerpt. This video provides excerpts from the e-learning course SAS Fraud Management: Using SAS Rules Studio. Anna Bickford and I developed this course using our standard process and bespoke container.

A crucial part of my role as Digital Learning Development Manager at SAS was to teach e-learning development skills. I coached Anna as she provided instructional design and developed the audio script and visuals. I produced the e-learning and managed the project.

E-learning Excerpt and Commentary. The video below provides excerpts from the e-learning course Introduction to Statistical Concepts.

This module was originally part of a much more extensive course, Statistics 1: Introduction to ANOVA, Regression, and Logistic Regression. I designed, wrote, and produced the first lesson and was the project manager for the overall project.

Julia Johnson provided updated graphics for the latest version of this module.
